I just found out my employer is increasing thier rates, how does that impact COBRA?

Answer: COBRA is a continuation of the group health insurance plan so any changes made to that plan, including an increase in rates, will also apply to your COBRA plan. You should receive a notice either from the company or insurer to let you know of the increase. COBRA can be cancelled at any time so if the cost increase is too much you may be able to find a more affordable private plan with similar coverage.
