Can I use COBRA if I am getting a divorce?

Answer: Divorce from a covered employee normally will qualify someone as a qualifying event. That means that if you are getting divorced, or even legally separated, from the covered employee you can qualify for COBRA for at least 18 months and in many cases 36 months.
