I am pregnant in my second trimester and just got laid off, can I use COBRA for my pregnancy?

Answer: It depends on whether or not you qualify under the federal guidelines. If you do qualify then you will be able to use COBRA for your pregnancy and after your child is born. You will also be able to add him or her to the policy. Remember COBRA is simply a continuation of your group plan so it will work exactly the same. If you learn you do not qualify for COBRA, then look into state program that offer either free or lower cost health care to pregnant women and children.
